SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED FROM YESTERDAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T TO TODAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past 24 hours, light rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Kachin, Eastern Shan States. Weather has been generally fair in Bago Region and Kayah, Chin, Rakhine States and partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Night temperatures were 2°C below January average temperature in Taninthayi Region, 2°C above January average temperature in Ayeyarwady Region and about January average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant night temperatures were 1.5°C in Hakha, 5.0°C in Mongyang, 5.4°C in Heho, 5.7°C each in Tiddim and Loilin, 5.8°C in Namsan(Southern Shan), 6.0°C in Hsipaw, 7.6°C in Lashio, 7.7°C in Putao and 8.0°C in Pinlaung.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 4th January 2026: Light rain are likely to be isolated in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Upper Sagaing, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Shan States. Degree of certainty is 60%. Weather will be partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States.
STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about 3-6 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
