SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED FROM YESTERDAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T TO TODAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past 24 hours, light rain have been isolated in Eastern Shan State. Weather has been generally fair in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Bago, Lower Sagaing, Ayeyarwady Regions and Chin  State and partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Night temperatures were 2°C below January average temperatures in Mandalay, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Kayah, Chin, Rakhine, (Northern and Southern)Shan States and about January average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant night temperatures were -2.0°C in Hakha, 2.0°C in Namsan(Southern Shan), 3.1°C in Loilin, 3.4°C in Heho, 4.4°C in Tiddim, 5.0°C in Pinlaung, 5.3°C in Hsipaw, 6.0°C in Putao, 6.2°C in Pyinoolwin and 6.5°C in Naungcho.

BAY INFERENCE: Weather is partly cloudy to cloudy over the South Bay and Westcentral Bay and a few cloud over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 6th January 2026: Weather will be partly cloudy in Naypyitaw, Yangon, Upper Sagaing, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Kayah, Kayin, Mon, Shan States and generally fair in the remaining Regions and States.

STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about 3-6 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of slight decrease of night temperatures in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Magway, Sagaing Regions and Kachin, Kayah, Chin, Shan States.
