28-11-2025:According to the observations at 15:30 hrs MST today, the Cyclonic Storm “DITWAH” over the Southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining Sri Lanka Coast has moved North- Northwestwards and is crossing near Trincomalee(Srilanka). It is centered at about 805 Nautical miles West-Southwest of Coco Island(Myanmar), 225 Nautical miles South-Southeast of Puducherry (India). It is likely continue to move North-Northwestwards and across eastern parts of Sri Lanka Coast and adjoining Southwest Bay of Bengal and reach over the North Tamil Nadu and South Andhra Pradesh coasts, India.  Weather is a generally fair over the North Bay, partly cloudy over the North Andaman Sea and Eastcentral Bay and partly cloudy to cloudy over the South Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24)hours, rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Lower Sagaing and Magway Regions, scattered in Upper Sagaing, Mandalay and Yangon Regions, Kachin and Southern Shan States, fairly widespread in Ayeyarwady Region, (Northern and Eastern) Shan State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavy falls in Naypyitaw and isolated heavy falls in Taninthayi Region and Chin State. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were Paletwa (4.53)inches, Launglon (3.23) inches, Naypyitaw (Otarathiri) (2.56)inches, Kyauktaw (2.40)inches, Kyeikmayaw (2.20)inches, Ann and Taungkok (2.17) inches each, Thandwe (2.01)inches, Shwekyin (1.89)inches, Taunggu and Maubin (1.85)inches each, Paung (1.77)inches and Naypyitaw(Zayarthiri) (1.73)inches.

BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is moderate to strong over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 4th JULY, 2018: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay and Magway Regions and Southern Shan State, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Ayeyarwady Region, (Northern and Eastern) Shan and Kayah States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavy falls in Naypyitaw, Kachin, Chin and Rakhine States.
