SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24)hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Mandalay Region, rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Lower Sagaing and Magway Regions, Kayah State, scattered in Naypyitaw, fairly widespread in Southern Shan State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavy falls in Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, Rakhine State. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were Taungkok (4.88) inches, Gwa (4.84)inches, Manaung (4.09)inches, Dawei and Launglon (3.42)inches each, Pathein (3.27) inches, Thandwe (3.23)inches, Myaungmya (3.11)inches, Maubin (2.80)inches, Phyarpon (2.76)inches, Myeik (2.67) inches, Kungyangon (2.56)inches and Hainggyigyun (2.01)inches.

BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is vigorous over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and strong elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 13th JULY, 2018: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay and Magway Regions and Kayah State, scattered in Naypyitaw, (Southern and Eastern) Shan State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavy falls in Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, Rakhine State, isolated heavy falls in Yangon Region, Kayin and Mon States. Degree of certainty is (100%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (35-40)m.p.h. Wave height will be about (10 - 12) feet in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama and off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts and about (8 - 11)feet in off and along Rakhine Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Strong monsoon over the Andaman Sea and South Bay of Bengal.
