26-11-2025:According to the observations at 15:30 hrs MST today, the Cyclonic Storm “SENYAR” over the Strait of Malacca and adjoining Northeast Indonesia has moved West-Southwestwards and start to cross coastal areas of Indonesia. It is centered at about 305Nautical miles South of Kawthaung (Myanmar), 155 Nautical miles West-Southwest of Penang(Malaysia), 45 Nautical miles East of Kuta Makmur(Indonesia) and  395 Nautical miles Southeast of Car Nicobar (India). According to the observations at 15:30 hrs MST today, the Well Marked Low pressure Area over the Southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining areas of Southeast Sri Lanka still persists. It is likely to move North-Northwestwards and further intensify into a depression during next 24 hours. Weather is a few cloud over the North Bay, partly cloudy over the Central Bay and cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24)hours, rain or thundershowers have been scattered in Naypyitaw, Mandalay and Ayeyarwady Regions, fairly widespread in Lower Sagaing and Magway Regions, Eastern Shan and Kayin States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with isolated  heavy falls in Taninthayi Region and Kachin State. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were Myeik (5.35)inches, Putao (3.74)inches, Kawthaung (2.64) inches, Bhamo (2.20)inches, Zaung Tu (1.69) inches, Myitkyina (1.57)inches, Coco Island (1.50)inches, Lunkyaw and Hpapun (1.34) inches each, Htilin (1.28)inches, Kyaukphyu and Manaung (1.15)inches each.

BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (13:30)hrs M.S.T today, the low pressure area over the Northwest Bay of Bengal still persists. Monsoon is vigorous over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and moderate to strong elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 8thAUGUST, 2018: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Mandalay and Magway Regions, fairly widespread in (Southern and Eastern) Shan and Kayah States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavy falls in Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, Kayin and Mon States. Degree of certainty is (100%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with rough seas are likely at times Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Sea will be moderate to rough elsewhere in Myanmar waters.  Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (35-40)m.p.h. Wave height will be about (9 - 12)feet in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts and about (6 - 9)feet in off and along Rakhine Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Strong monsoon over the Andaman Sea and South Bay of Bengal.
