It is almost stationary and may intensify into a depression. Due to the Well Marked Low Pressure Area,  According to the observations at 10:30 hrs MST today, a low pressure area has formed over Extreme Southern parts of India, Comorin Area and adjoining Southwest Bay of Bengal and Sri Lanka. It is likely to become to more marked. Weather is a few cloud over the North Bay and Central Bay and partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is strong over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and moderate elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL AFTERNOON OF THE 11thAUGUST, 2018: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Sagaing, Mandalay and Magway Regions, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw and Chin State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavy falls in Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, Kayin and Mon States and isolated heavy falls in Yangon  Region and Kachin State. Degree of certainty is (100%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with rough seas are likely at times Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (35)m.p.h. Sea will be moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (8-10)feet in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts and about (5 -7)feet in off and along Rakhine Coasts.
