29-11-2025:According to the observations at 15:30 hrs MST today, the Cyclonic Storm “DITWAH” over the Southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining North Srilanka has moved North- Northwestwards. It is centered at about 795 Nautical miles West-Southwest of Coco Island(Myanmar), 150 Nautical miles South-Southeast of Puducherry (India) and 65 Nautical miles North-Northwestwards of Trincomalee(Srilanka). It is likely continue to move North-Northwestwards and reach over Southwest Bay of Bengal (near the North Tamil Nadu and South Andhra Pradesh coasts, India).Weather is partly cloudy to cloudy over the Southwest Bay and Westcentral Bay of Bengal and a few cloud over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24)hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Lower Sagaing Region,  rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Mandalay Region and Southern Shan State, scattered in Magway Region and Northern Shan State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavy falls in Kayin State and isolated heavy falls in Upper Sagaing, Magway and Bago Regions, Kachin State. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were Putao (5.52)inches, Tamanthi (4.41)inches, Shan-Ywar-Thit (4.34)inches, Shwegone (3.66)inches, Shwegyin (3.14) inches, Madauk (2.91)inches, Kawthaung (2.87)inches, Hlaingbwe and Kataingti (2.80)inches each, Paing Kyone and Kamamaung (2.76)inches each, Hpapun (2.64)inches, Hkamti (2.60)inches, Homalin (2.32)inches, Thandwe (2.24)inches, Okkan and Belin (2.13)inches each, Hmawbi and Hpa-an (1.77)inches each, Hinthada (1.73) inches and Taungdwingyi (1.65)inches.

BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (13:30)hrs M.S.T today, a low pressure area has formed over the Northwest Bay of Bengal. Monsoon is strong to vigorous over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 14thAUGUST, 2018: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay and Magway Regions, Northern Shan State, fairly widespread in Southern Shan State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavy falls in Kayin and Mon States and isolated heavy falls in Upper Sagaing, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, Kachin and Rakhine States.
