 25-7-2025: According to the observations at 05:30 hrs MST today, the Well Marked Low Pressure Area over North Bay of Bengal still persists. It is likely to continue to move west-northwestwards and further intensify into a Depression over West Bengal, India and Bangladesh Coasts during next 18 hours. Thereafter, it is likely to cross Genetic West Bengal, North Odisha, Jharkhand and adjoining North Chhattisgarh during next 2 days. Monsoon is vigorous over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

BAY INFERENCE: . Monsoon is moderate over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and moderate to strong  elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING   OF THE 21st AUGUST, 2018: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Kayah State, fairly widespread in   Lower Sagaing ,Mandalay ,Magway Regions and  Kachin State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavy falls in Rakhine State. Degree of certainty is (100%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough   seas are likely at times Deltic , Gulf of Mottama  off and along  Rakhine Coasts  . Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (35) m.p.h.See will be moderate elsewhere  in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (8 - 10) feet in Deltic, off and along  Rakhine  Coasts  and  about  (5-7) Gulf of Mottama  off and along  Mon , Taninthayi  Coasts

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Moderate monsoon.
