SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, weather have been partly cloudy in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Magway and Ayeyarwady Regions, Rakhine State, rain or thundershowers have been widespread in Mon State, fairly widespread in Taninthayi Region, (Southern and Eastern)Shan State, scattered in Yangon Region, Kachin, Chin and Kayin States and isolated in the remaining Regions and States. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were Thaton (1.10)inches, Pinlaung (1.06)inches, Machanbaw and Yangon(Mingaladon) (1.02) inches each, Shan-Ywar-Thit (0.89)inch and Kengtung, Hpa-an, Kyeikkhame and Paung (0.79)inch each.

BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is feeble over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 24th September, 2018: Rain or thundershowers will be fairly widespread in Taninthayi Region and Mon State, scattered in Upper Sagaing, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions, Kachin, (Southern and Eastern)Shan, Chin and Kayin States and isolated in the remaining Regions and States. Degree of certainty is (100%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (1 - 4) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of withdrawal of Southwest monsoon from Central Myanmar areas.
