17-11-2025:  According to the observations at 05:30 hrs MST today, the low pressure area over the Southwest Bay of Bengal(off Sri Lanka Coast) has reached over the Southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining Sri Lanka Coast. It is likely to move slowly West-Northwestwards during the next 24 hours.. Weather a few cloud over the North Bay and Eastcentral Bay and partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

BAY INFERENCE: : According to the observations at (18:30)hrs M.S.T today, the depression over Southeast Bay of Bengal centered at about (80)miles Northwest of Portblair, about (660) miles East-Southeast of Chennai (India) and about (155)miles Southwest of Coco Island (Myanmar).

FORECAST VALID UNTIL AFTERNOON OF THE 11th November, 2018: Rain or thundershowers will be widespread in Taninthayi Region,fairly widespread in Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions , scattered in  Kayin and Mon States and isolated in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Magway and Bago Regions, Shan, Rakhine and Kayah States. Degree of certainty is (80%). Weather will be partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States.

STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be rough sea are likely at times Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (35-40)mph. Sea will be  moderate elsewhere in   Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (8-10)feet in Deltaic, Gulf of   Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts and about (5-7) feet in off and along  Rakhine Coasts.    

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of scattered to fairly widespread rain or thundershowers in Naypyitaw, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, (Southern and Eastern) Shan, Rakhine, Kayah, Kayin and Mon States.
