BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (18:30)hrs M.S.T today, the low pressure area over the Southeast Bay of Bengal and adjoining Equatorial India Ocean still persists. It may further intensify into a depression during next (24) hours.Weather is a few cloud over the North Bay and partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere in the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL AFTERNOON OF THE 13th December, 2018: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Sagaing Region and Kachin State, scattered in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Magway, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, Northern Shan, Chin, Rakhine, Kayin and Mon States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States. Degree of certainty is (80%).
STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (30-35)m.p.h. Sea will be slight to moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (6-9)feet in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts and about (3 -5)feet in off and along Rakhine Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Continuation of scattered rain or thundershowers in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Magway, Bago, Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions, Shan and Rakhine States.
