SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers has been isolated in Naypyitaw, Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions, (Northern and Southern) Shan and Kayah States, scattered in Bago and Taninthayi Regions, Eastern Shan and Rakhine States and partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Night temperatures were (2°C) above December average temperatures in Lower Sagaing Region, Chin and Kayin States, (3°C) to (4°C) above December average temperatures in Mandalay, Magway, Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions and Rakhine State, (5°C) to (6°C) above December average temperatures in Bago Region, (Southern and Eastern) Shan and Mon States and (7°C) above December average temperature in Kayah State and about December average temperature in the remaining Regions and States. The significant night temperatures were (6°C) each in Putao and Hakha, (8°C) in Ramthlo. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were Coco Island (2.00)inches, Gwa (0.28)inch, Loikaw (0.16)inch, Loilin, Mongyang, Madauk and Kawthaung (0.08)inch each.

BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (11:30)hrs M.S.T today, the low pressure area over Southeast Bay of Bengal and adjoining Equatorial India Ocean has intensified into a depression and now lies over the Southeast Bay of Bengal. It is centered at about (635)miles Southeast of Chennai (India), about (730) miles Southeast of Machilipatnam and  about (460)miles South- Southeast of Triconmalee (Sri Lanka). Weather is partly cloudy over the North Bay and partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere in the Bay of Bengal.        

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 14th December, 2018: Weather will be partly cloudy in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin State. Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Lower Sagaing and Taninthayi Regions, Chin, Kayin and Mon States and scattered in the remaining Regions and States. Degree of certainty is (80%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (30-35)m.p.h. Wave height will be about (6-9) feet in off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Scattered rain or thundershowers in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Magway and Bago Regions, Shan, Rakhine and Kayah States.
