BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (06:30)hrs M.S.T today, the Cyclonic Storm(PHETHAI) crossed near Tuni, Andhra Pradesh Coast(India), weaken into a Depression. It is continuously move North-Northeastwards and weaken gradually.Weather is partly cloudy to cloudy over the  over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.    

FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 18th December, 2018: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Upper Sagaing and Taninthayi Regions, Kachin, Northern Shan and Chin States, isolated in Lower Sagaing and Mandalay Regions, (Southern and Eastern) Shan, Rakhine, Kayin and Mon States. Degree of certainty is (80%). Weather will be partly cloudy in remaining Regions and States.

STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (30-35)m.p.h. Wave height will be about (6-9) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of isolated to scattered rain or thundershowers in Sagaing and Mandalay Regions, Kachin, Shan, Chin and Rakhine States.

FORECAST FOR MANDALAY AND NEIGHBOURING AREA FOR 18th December, 2018:     Likelihood of isolated rain or thundershowers. Degree of certainty is (60%).
