SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been widespread in Kachin State, fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing Region, scattered in Northern Shan State and isolated in Lower Sagaing and Mandalay Regions, Chin State. Weather has been partly cloudy in Taninthayi Region, (Southern and Eastern)Shan, Rakhine and Mon States and generally fair in the remaining Regions and States. Night temperatures were (2°C) above February average temperatures in Upper Sagaing, Mandalay and Magway Regions, Kachin and Mon States and about February average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant night temperatures were (6°C) in Thipaw, (7°C) each in Heho and Hakha, (8°C) each in Loilin, Mongyang and Tiddim. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were Mogaung and Homalin (0.19) inch each, Monyin and Kanbalu (0.16)inch each, Machanbaw and Muse (0.12)inch each and Kunlong, Myitsone, Tiddim and Hkamti (0.08) inch each.

BAY INFERENCE: Weather is a few cloud over the Andaman Sea and East central Bay and partly cloudy to cloudy elsewhere in the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 1st March, 2019: Rain or thundershowers will be widespread in Kachin State, fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing Region and Chin State, scattered in Northern Shan State and isolated in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay and Magway Regions. Degree of certainty is (80%). Weather will be generally fair in Bago, Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions and Kayah State and partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States.

STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (3 - 5) feet in off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Continuation of likelihood of isolated rain or thundershowers in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin State.
