SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers has been fairly widespread in Kachin State, scattered in Upper Sagaing Region and Chin State and isolated in Mandalay Region. Weather has been partly cloudy in Lower Sagaing and Taninthayi Regions, Shan State and generally fair in the remaining Regions and States. Day temperatures were (2°C) above March normal temperatures in Magway and Taninthayi Regions, Eastern Shan State and about March normal temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant day temperatures were (40°C) in Chauk, (39°C) in Aunglan, (38°C) each in Meiktila, Magway, Taungdwingyi, Sinbyugyun, Taunggu, Tharrawady and Bawlakhae. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were Machanbaw (0.32)inch, Putao (0.27)inch, Tiddim (0.20)inch, Falam and Ramthlo (0.08) inch each.
BAY INFERENCE: Weather is partly cloudy to cloudy over the South Bay and a few cloud over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere in the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 6th March, 2019: Rain or thundershowers will be widespread in Upper Sagaing Region, fairly widespread in Kachin and Chin States, scattered in Lower Sagaing Region and Northern Shan State and isolated in and Mandalay and Magway Regions, (Southern, Eastern) Shan and Rakhine States. Degree of certainty is (80%). Weather will be partly cloudy in Naypyitaw, Taninthayi Region, Kayin and Mon States and generally fair in the remaining Regions and States.
STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (3 - 5) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of scattered to fairly widespread rain or thundershowers in Sagaing Region, Kachin, Northern Shan, Chin and Rakhine States.
