SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been widespread in Kachin State, fairly widespread in (Northern and Eastern)Shan State, scattered in Upper Sagaing and Taninthayi Regions and isolated in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Mandalay and Magway Regions and Chin State. Weather has been partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Day temperatures were (3°C) above April normal temperature in Kachin State, (2°C) above April normal temperatures in Taninthayi Region, Rakhine, Kayah and Mon States, (2°C) below April normal temperatures in Northern Shan and Chin States and about April normal temperature in the remaining Regions and States. The significant day temperatures were (42°C) in Chauk, (41°C)each in Minbu, Magway, Aunglan, Taunggu and Hlaingbwe. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were Dawei (1.54)inches, Kunlong (1.18)inches, Bhamo (0.74)inch, Aunglan (0.71)inch, Thipaw (0.67)inch, Monyin and Mogaung (0.59)inch each and Myitkyina (0.55)inch.
BAY INFERENCE: Weather is generally fair over the Central Bay and partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere in the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 9th April, 2019: Rain or thundershowers will be fairly widespread in Kachin State, scattered in Upper Sagaing and Taninthayi Regions, (Northern and Eastern)Shan and Chin States and isolated in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay and Magway Regions, Southern Shan and Rakhine States. Degree of certainty is (80%). Weather will be partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States.
STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (3 - 5) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
