SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been scattered in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin State and isolated in Taninthayi Region. Weather has been partly cloudy in Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions, (Northern and Southern) Shan, Chin, Rakhine and Kayah States and generally fair in the remaining Regions and States. Day temperatures wereabout April normal temperature in Upper Sagaing, Yangon and Taninthayi Regions, Kachin and Rakhine States, (2°C) above April normal temperatures in Bago and Yangon Regions, Chin State and (3°C) to (4°C) above April normal temperatures in the remaining Regions and States.The significant day temperatures were (44°C) each in NyaungOo, Chauk, Taungdwingyi, Gangaw, Sinbyugyun and Bawlakhae, (43°C) each in Monywa, Kyemone, Myinmu, Myingyan, Magway, Pakokku and Pauk. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were Kawthaung (0.12) inch and Homalin (0.08)inch.
BAY INFERENCE:Weather is partly cloudy to cloudy over theSouthwest Bay and partly cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere in the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 18th April, 2019:Rain or thundershowers will be fairly widespread in KachinState, scattered in Upper Sagaing Region and isolated in Mandalay, Magway and Taninthayi Regions, Shan, Chin and Kayah States. Degree of certainty is (80%). Weather will be partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States.
STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (3 - 5) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of isolated rain or thundershowers in Upper Sagaing and Taninthayi Regions, Kachin, Shan, Chin and Kayah States.
