28-11-2025:According to the observations at 05:30 hrs MST today, the Depression over the Strait of Malacca has moved Eastwards and downgraded into Well Marked Low Pressure Area over Malaysia. It is likely continue to move Eastwards and gradually weaken during next 12 hours. According to the observations at 05:30 hrs MST today, the Cyclonic Storm “DATWAH” over the Southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining Sri Lanka Coast has moved Northwestwards and is crossing near Tricomalee(Srilanka). It is centered at about 805 Nautical miles Southwest of Coco Island (Myanmar), 240 Nautical miles Southeast of Puducherry (India). It is likely to move North-Northwestwards and continue to cross eastern part of Sri Lanka Coast and adjoining Southwest Bay of Bengal and reached over the North Tamil Nadu and adjoining South Andhra Pradesh coasts, India.Weather is a few cloud over the North Bay and Central Bay and partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Magway, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Region, Southern Shah, Rakhine and Mon States. Weather has been partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Day temperatures were (7°C) to (8°C) above May normal temperatures in Lower Sagaing and Magway Regions, Shan State, (5°C) to (6°C) above May normal temperatures in Upper Sagaing, Mandalay, Bago and Ayeyarwady Regions, Kachin, Chin, Kayah and Kayin States, (3°C) to (4°C) above May normal temperatures in Yangon and Taninthayi Regions, Rakhine and Mon States. The significant day temperatures were (47°C) in Chauk and (44°C) each in Monywa, Myinmu, Nyaung Oo, Minbu, Magway Taungdwingyi, Gangaw, Pauk and Sinbyugyun. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were Chaungsone (2.17)inches, Myeik (0.55)inch, Madauk, Hlegu, Yangon (North Dagon) and Hinthada (0.20)inch each and Bago (0.16)inch.

BAY INFERENCE: Weather is partly cloudy over the Andaman Sea and Southeast Bay and a few cloud elsewhere in the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 21st May, 2019:  Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Taninthayi Region and Mon States, isolated in Upper Sagaing, Magway, Bago, Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions, Kachin, Southern Shan, Rakhine, Kayah and Kayin States. Degree of certainty is (80%). Weather will be partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States.

STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (4 - 6) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
