27-11-2025:According to the observations at 05:30 hrs MST today, the Cyclonic Storm “SENYAR” crossed in the interior of Indonesia has recurved and moved South-Southeast and now lies again over Northeast of Indonesia and adjoining the Strait of Malacca. It is centered at about 360 Nautical miles South of Kawthaung (Myanmar), 140 Nautical miles Southwest of Penang(Malaysia), 50 Nautical miles Southeast of Kuta Makmur(Indonesia) and  460 Nautical miles Southeast of Car Nicobar (India). According to the observations at 05:30 hrs MST today, the Well Marked Low Pressure Area over the Southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining areas of Southeast Sri Lanka has further intensified into a Depression over the Southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining areas of Sri Lanka coast.  It is centered at about 800 Nautical miles South-Southwest of Coco Island (Myanmar), 180 Nautical miles South-Southeast of Tricomalee(Srilanka), 395 Nautical miles South-Southeast of Puducherry(India). Weather is partly cloudy to cloudy and over the over the Andaman Sea and a few cloud elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, Southwest monsoon has advanced into the Southern Myanmar areas, Andaman Sea and Southeast Bay of Bengal. Rain or thundershowers have been widespread in Naypyitaw, Upper Sagaing, Mandalay and Taninthayi Regions, Kachin, (Northern and Southern) Shan and Mon States, fairly widespread in Lower Sagaing Region and Chin State, scattered in Kayin State, isolated in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavy falls in Naypyitaw, Mandalay Region and Mon State. Day temperatures were (6°C) above May normal temperature in Magway Region, (3°C) to (4°C) above May normal temperatures in Sagaing, Mandalay, Bago, Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions, Kachin, Southern Shan, Rakhine, Kayin and Mon States, (2°C) above May normal temperatures in Taninthayi Region, Chin and Kayah States and about May normal temperature in (Northern and Eastern)Shan State. The significant day temperatures were (46°C) in Chauk, (44°C) in Pauk and (43°C) each in Nyaung Oo and Gangaw. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were Naypyitaw (Zayarthiri) (4.13)inches, Paung (3.78))inches, Chaungsone (3.07)inches, Kawthaung (2.56)inches, Hlaingtat (2.36)inches, Meiktila (2.28)inches, Mahlaing (2.10)inches, Yamethin (2.09)inches, Thazi (2.05)inches and Myeik (1.97)inches.

BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is weak over the Andaman Sea and Southeast Bay and a few cloud to partly cloudy elsewhere in the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 25th May, 2019:  Rain or thundershowers will be widespread in Sagaing and Taninthayi Regions, Kachin, Chin, Kayin and Mon States, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw and Mandalay Region, Shan State, scattered in Magway, Bago and Yangon Regions, Kayah State and isolated in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavy falls in Mandalay Region and Mon State. Degree of certainty is (80%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (4 - 6) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Continuation of thundery activities in the Deltaic areas.
