28-11-2025:According to the observations at 05:30 hrs MST today, the Depression over the Strait of Malacca has moved Eastwards and downgraded into Well Marked Low Pressure Area over Malaysia. It is likely continue to move Eastwards and gradually weaken during next 12 hours. According to the observations at 05:30 hrs MST today, the Cyclonic Storm “DATWAH” over the Southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining Sri Lanka Coast has moved Northwestwards and is crossing near Tricomalee(Srilanka). It is centered at about 805 Nautical miles Southwest of Coco Island (Myanmar), 240 Nautical miles Southeast of Puducherry (India). It is likely to move North-Northwestwards and continue to cross eastern part of Sri Lanka Coast and adjoining Southwest Bay of Bengal and reached over the North Tamil Nadu and adjoining South Andhra Pradesh coasts, India.Weather is a few cloud over the North Bay and Central Bay and partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, weather have been partly cloudy in Magway Region and Kayah State, rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing and Mandalay Regions, Southern Shan State, scattered in Upper Sagaing Region, Eastern Shan and Chin States, fairly widespread in Bago, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, Rakhine and Kayin States, widespread in the remaining Regions and States. Day temperatures were (5°C) above May normal temperature in Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions, Eastern Shan State, (3°C) to (4°C) above May normal temperatures in Magway, Bago and Taninthayi Regions, Southern Shan, Kayah, Kayin and Mon States, (2°C) above May normal temperatures in Sagaing and Mandalay Regions, Rakhine State and about May normal temperature in Kachin, Northern Shan and Chin States. The significant day temperatures were (42°C) in Chauk and (41°C) each in Myinmu, Myingyan, Yamethin, Minbu, Magway, Gangaw and Bawlakhae. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were Mawlamyine (2.91)inches, Yay(2.76))inches, Yangon(Northern Dagon) and Chaungsone (2.09)inches each, Myauk U and Hpa-an(Agro-met) (1.57)inches each, Katha and Mogoke (1.54)inches each, Kyeikmayaw (1.46)inches, Paung (1.42)inches andNyaunglaybin, Kungyangon and Kyeikkhame (1.34)inches each.

BAY INFERENCE:Monsoon is moderate over the Andaman Sea and Southeast Bay and a few cloud to partly cloudy elsewhere in theBay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 27th May, 2019:  Rain or thundershowers will be widespread in Yangon and Taninthayi Regions,Kachin, Kayin and Mon States, fairly widespread in Bago and Ayeyarwady Regions, Rakhine State, scattered in Upper Sagaing Region, Shan and Chin States and isolated in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavy falls in Taninthayi Region. Degree of certainty is (80%).

STATE OF THE SEA:Sea will be moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (4 - 6) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
