25-11-2025:According to the observations at 17:30 hrs MST today, the Depression over the South Andaman Sea and adjoining Strait of Malacca almost stationary still persists. It is centered at about 285 Nautical miles South-Southeast of Kawthaung (Myanmar), 55 Nautical miles West-Northwest of Penang(Malaysia), 250 Nautical miles East of Banda Aceh (Indonesia) and  465 Nautical miles Southeast of Car Nicobar(India).According to the observations at 17:30 hrs MST today, the low pressure area over Southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining areas of South Sri Lanka still persists. It is likely to move North-Northwestwards and become Well Marked Lowe  pressure Area during next 24 hours and further intensify into a depression during next 48 hours. Weather is a few cloud over the North Bay and Central Bay and partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Lower Sagaing Regionand Kachin State. Rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Naypyitaw, Upper Sagaing and Mandalay Regions, (Northern  and Eastern) Shan and Chin States, scattered in Southern Shan and Rakhine States, fairly widespread in Magway and BagoRegions and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavy falls in Kayin State. Day temperatures were (7°C) above May normal temperature in Eastern Shan State, (5°C) to (6°C) above May normal temperatures in Sagaing, Magway and Bago Regions, Kachin and KayahStates, (3°C) to (4°C) above May normal temperatures in Mandalay and Ayeyarwady Regions, (Northern and Southern) Shan, Chin, Rakhine, Kayin and Mon States and (2°C) above May normal temperature in Yangon Region and about May normal temperature in Taninthayi  Region. The significant day temperatures were (45°C) each in Chauk and Gangaw, (44°C) in Myingyanand (43°C) each inMonywa and Bawlakhae. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were Hpa-an (5.67)inches, Payathonsu (4.84)inches, Kya-In-Seikkyi (4.36)inches, Bago (2.72)inches, Madauk(2.32)inches, Taungoo (Avia-met) (2.05)inches,Thaton (2.00)inches, Hlaingbwe (1.89)inches, Kyeikhon (1.84)inches, Shan-Ywar-Thit  (1.76)inches and Yangon (Kaba-Aye) (1.73)inches.

BAY INFERENCE:Monsoon is moderate to strong over the Andaman Sea and Southeast Bay and weather is partly cloudy elsewhere in theBay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 30th May, 2019:  Rain or thundershowers will be widespread in Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, Kayah, Kayin and Mon States,fairly widespread in Southern Shan State, scattered inNaypyitaw and Magway Regions and Rakhine State and isolated in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavy falls in Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions, Kayin and Mon States. Degree of certainty is (80%).

STATE OF THE SEA:Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely to be Deltaic, Gulf of Motama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (30)m.p.h. Sea will be moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (5 - 8) feet Deltaic, Gulf of Motama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts and about (4-6) feet off and along Rakhine Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Continuations of likelihood of thundery activities in Deltaic areas.
