26-11-2025:According to the observations at 15:30 hrs MST today, the Cyclonic Storm “SENYAR” over the Strait of Malacca and adjoining Northeast Indonesia has moved West-Southwestwards and start to cross coastal areas of Indonesia. It is centered at about 305Nautical miles South of Kawthaung (Myanmar), 155 Nautical miles West-Southwest of Penang(Malaysia), 45 Nautical miles East of Kuta Makmur(Indonesia) and  395 Nautical miles Southeast of Car Nicobar (India). According to the observations at 15:30 hrs MST today, the Well Marked Low pressure Area over the Southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining areas of Southeast Sri Lanka still persists. It is likely to move North-Northwestwards and further intensify into a depression during next 24 hours. Weather is a few cloud over the North Bay, partly cloudy over the Central Bay and cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, Southwest monsoon has advanced into the Central Myanmar areas and Northeast Bay of Bengal. Weather has been partly cloudy in Taninthayi Region and rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Kayin and Mon States, scattered in Naypyitaw, Magway Region, Kachin and Kayah States, fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing and Mandalay Regions, Chin State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavy falls in Mandalay Region. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were Mogoke (3.70)inches, Maungdaw (2.29)inches, Hinthada (2.05)inches, Myaungmya (1.85)inches, Mawlaik (1.69)inches, Pathein (1.50)inches, Bhamo (1.46)inches, Phyu (1.42)inches, Pyay, Yangon (Northern Dagon) and Hainggyigyun (1.27)inches each and Pyinoolwin (1.22)inches.

BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is weak to moderate over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 6th June, 2019:  Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Taninthayi Region, Kayah, Kayin and Mon States, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Magway Region and Kachin State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavy falls in Mandalay and Bago Regions, Rakhine State. Degree of certainty is (100%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (4 - 6) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
