28-11-2025:According to the observations at 05:30 hrs MST today, the Depression over the Strait of Malacca has moved Eastwards and downgraded into Well Marked Low Pressure Area over Malaysia. It is likely continue to move Eastwards and gradually weaken during next 12 hours. According to the observations at 05:30 hrs MST today, the Cyclonic Storm “DATWAH” over the Southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining Sri Lanka Coast has moved Northwestwards and is crossing near Tricomalee(Srilanka). It is centered at about 805 Nautical miles Southwest of Coco Island (Myanmar), 240 Nautical miles Southeast of Puducherry (India). It is likely to move North-Northwestwards and continue to cross eastern part of Sri Lanka Coast and adjoining Southwest Bay of Bengal and reached over the North Tamil Nadu and adjoining South Andhra Pradesh coasts, India.Weather is a few cloud over the North Bay and Central Bay and partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is weak to moderate over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 8th June, 2019:  Rain or thundershowers will be Isolated in Southern Shan and Kayah States, scattered in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway and Bago Regions, (Northern and Eastern) Shan State, fairly widespread in Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions, Kayin and Mon States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavy falls in Rakhine State. Degree of certainty is (100%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be moderate in Deltaic, off and along Rakhine Coasts and slight elsewhere in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (4-6) feet in Deltaic, off and along Rakhine Coasts and (3-4) feet in Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon –Taninthayi Coasts.
