SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Kayah State, scattered in Naypyitaw, fairly widespread in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay and Taninthayi Regions and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavyfalls in Taninthayi Region and isolated heavyfalls in Magway Region and Northern Shan and Rakhine States. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were Launglon (6.30)inches, Dawei (6.18)inches, Kyaukmae (4.53)inches, Kyauktaw (3.50)inches, Naungcho (2.76)inches, Lashio (2.71)inches, Belin (2.64)inches, Chaungsone (2.32)inches, Mingin (2.09)inches, Paung (2.01)inches, Muse(1.97)inches, Khayan, Coco Island and Thaton (1.81)inches each and Htilin (1.73)inches.
BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is strong over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 13th June, 2019: Rain or thundershowers will be fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Mandalay Region, Shan and Kayah States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavyfalls in Yangon, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, Rakhine and Mon States. STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with rough seas are likely at times off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (35-40)m.p.h. Wave height will be about (8 -10)feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
