BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is strong over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and weak to moderate elsewhere in the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 27th June, 2019: Rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Lower Sagaing and Magway Regions, Kayah State, scattered in Mandalay Region, Southern Shan and Chin States, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavyfalls in Naypyitaw, Upper Sagaing and Taninthayi Regions, Kachin and Mon States. Degree of certainty is (80%).
STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (30-35)m.p.h. Sea will be moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (7 – 9) feet in Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon- Taninthayi Coasts and about (4-6) feet in Deltaic, off and along Rakhine Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of increase of rain in Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, Kayin and Mon States.
