BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is moderate to strong over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and moderate elsewhere in the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 28th June, 2019: Rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Lower Sagaing Region and Kayah State, scattered in Mandalay and Magway Regions, Southern Shan and Chin States, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, (Northern and Eastern )Shan States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavyfalls in Taninthayi Region and Mon State and isolated heavyfalls in Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions, Rakhine and Kayin States. Degree of certainty is (80%).
STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with rough seas are likely at times Deltaic,Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (35)m.p.h. Sea will be moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (9 – 11) feet in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon- Taninthayi Coasts and about (5-7) feet off and along Rakhine Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Continuation of increase of rain in coastal areas.
