SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24)hours, rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Lower Sagaing and Magway Regions, scattered in Mandalay Region, fairly widespread in Taninthayi Region and Northern Shan State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavyfalls in Rakhine State and isolated heavyfalls in Chin and Kayin States. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were Taungkok (6.22)inches, Ann (5.51) inches, Sittwe (4.21)inches, Thandaunggyi (3.94)inches, Paletwa and Thandwe (3.87) inches each, Kyauktaw (3.78)inches, Maungdaw and Kyaukphyu (2.99)inches each, Kyeikdon (2.88)inches, Yay (2.72)inches and Kyeikkhame (2.56)inches.
BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is strong to vigorous over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 7th July, 2019: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Magway Region, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Mandalay Region and Eastern Shan State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavyfalls in Rakhine State and isolated heavyfalls in Upper Sagaing Region, Kachin and Chin States. Degree of certainty is (100%).
STATE OF THE SEA: Occasional squalls with rough seas will be experienced off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (40)m.p.h. Wave height will be about (9 -14)feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Continuation of increase of rain in Kachin, Chin and Rakhine States.
