28-11-2025:According to the observations at 15:30 hrs MST today, the Cyclonic Storm “DITWAH” over the Southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining Sri Lanka Coast has moved North- Northwestwards and is crossing near Trincomalee(Srilanka). It is centered at about 805 Nautical miles West-Southwest of Coco Island(Myanmar), 225 Nautical miles South-Southeast of Puducherry (India). It is likely continue to move North-Northwestwards and across eastern parts of Sri Lanka Coast and adjoining Southwest Bay of Bengal and reach over the North Tamil Nadu and South Andhra Pradesh coasts, India.  Weather is a generally fair over the North Bay, partly cloudy over the North Andaman Sea and Eastcentral Bay and partly cloudy to cloudy over the South Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Lower Sagaing and Magway Regions, scattered in Mandalay Region, fairly widespread in Taninthayi Region and Northern Shan State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavyfalls in Naypyitaw, Rakhine, Kayin and Mon States and isolated heavyfalls in Bago Region and Chin State. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were Thandwe (7.91)inches, Mudon (7.68)inches, Chaungsone (5.31)inches, Mawlamyine (5.24)inches, Paletwa (4.96)inches, Paung (4.92)inches, Myauk U (4.72)inches, Kawkareik (4.41)inches, Ann (4.29)inches, Kyauktaw (4.09)inches, Sittwe (3.66)inches, Gwa (3.62)inches, Taungkok (3.58)inches, Kyeikkhame (3.54)inches, Kyeikmayaw (3.43)inches, Thandaunggyi (3.15)inches and Taunggu(Aviation Met) (3.03)inches.

BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is generally strong over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.
