28-11-2025:According to the observations at 15:30 hrs MST today, the Cyclonic Storm “DITWAH” over the Southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining Sri Lanka Coast has moved North- Northwestwards and is crossing near Trincomalee(Srilanka). It is centered at about 805 Nautical miles West-Southwest of Coco Island(Myanmar), 225 Nautical miles South-Southeast of Puducherry (India). It is likely continue to move North-Northwestwards and across eastern parts of Sri Lanka Coast and adjoining Southwest Bay of Bengal and reach over the North Tamil Nadu and South Andhra Pradesh coasts, India.  Weather is a generally fair over the North Bay, partly cloudy over the North Andaman Sea and Eastcentral Bay and partly cloudy to cloudy over the South Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24)hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Lower Sagaing Region, rain or thundershowers have been scattered in Mandalay and Magway Regions, fairly widespread in Taninthayi Region and Northern Shan State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavyfalls in Rakhine, Kayin and Mon States and isolated heavyfalls in Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were Manaung (6.22)inches, Taungkok (4.65)inches, Paung (4.57)inches, Mawlamyine (4.37)inches, Kyeikmayaw (4.13) inches, Shwegwin (3.97)inches, Myaungmya (3.94)inches, Myauk U (3.90)inches, Mudon (3.74)inches, Kamamaung (3.70)inches, Paingkyone (3.59)inches, Kawkareik and Chaungsone (3.39)inches each, Sittwe and Central Yangon (3.35)inches each, Theinzayet (3.23)inches, Ann and Hpa-an (3.22)inches each, Thandwe (3.15)inches and Thaton (3.11)inches.

BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (13:30)hrs M.S.T today, a low pressure area has formed over the Northwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining coastal area of West Bengal. Monsoon is strong to vigorous over the Bay of Bengal and moderate over the Andaman Sea.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 27th July, 2019: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Lower Sagaing Region, scattered in Mandalay and Magway Regions, fairly widespread in Taninthayi Region and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavyfalls in Rakhine, Kayin and Mon States and isolated heavyfalls in Upper Sagaing, Bago, Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions, Kachin and Chin States. STATE OF THE SEA: Occasional squalls with rough seas will be experienced Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Rakhine Coast. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (40) m.p.h. Sea will be moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (9– 11)feet in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Rakhine Coast and about (4-8)feet off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts.
