BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is strong to vigorous over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

SPECIAL FEATURES: According to the observations at (13:30)hrs M.S.T today, the Tropical Storm “Wipha” over the Gulf of Tomkin is centered at about (165)miles East –Northeast of Hanoi(Vietnam). It is forecast to move Westwards slowly.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 03rdAugust, 2019: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay and Magway Regions, fairly widespread in Shan and Kayah States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavyfalls in Taninthayi Region, Rakhine, Kayin and Mon States and isolated heavyfalls in Bago, Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions. Degree of certainty is (100%).

STATE OF THE SEA:  Occasional squalls with rough seas will be experienced off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (40) m.p.h. Wave height will be about (9– 12)feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
