SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24)hours, rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Lower Sagiang Region, scattered in Naypyitaw, Upper Sagaing, Mandalay and Magway Regions, fairly widespread in Taninthayi Region and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavyfalls in Rakhine State.The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were Ann (5.11)inches, Taungkok (3.54)inches, Kyaukpyu (2.80)inches, Myauk U(2.76)inches, Thandwe (2.48)inches, Sittwe and Myeik (2.32)inches each, Kyauktaw (2.28)inches, Thandaunggyi (2.20)inches, Dawei (2.05)inches, Yay (1.97)inches, Putao (1.74)inches, Myawaddy (1.73)inches and Gwa (1.65)inches.
BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is strong to vigorous over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 05th August, 2019: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay and Magway Regions, fairly widespread in Northern Shan State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavyfalls in Rakhine, Kayin and Mon States and isolated heavyfalls in Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, (Southern and Eastern)Shan and Kayah States. Degree of certainty is (100%).
STATE OF THE SEA: Occasional squalls with rough seas will be experienced off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (40) m.p.h. Wave height will be about (10– 13)feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Increase of rain in Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, Shan, Rakhine, Kayah, Kayin and Mon States.
