SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24)hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Lower Sagaing Region, rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Mandalay Region, (Southern and Eastern) Shan State, scattered in Upper Sagaing and Magway Regions, Northern Shan and Chin States, fairly widespread in Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, Kachin State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavyfalls in Naypyitaw and isolated heavyfalls in Yangon Region. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were Okkan (3.15)inches, Taungkok (2.64)inches, Naypyitaw (Otarathiri) (2.09)inches, Kamamaung (1.77)inches, Thandwe (1.65)inches, Thaton (1.57)inches, Naypyitaw (Zabuthiri) and Bago (1.50)inches each and Paungbyin, Pyinmana and Hpa-an (1.37)inches each.
BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is weak to moderate over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 20th August, 2019: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Lower Sagaing and Mandalay Regions, scattered in Upper Sagaing and Magway Regions, Shan and Chin States, fairly widespread in Kayah State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavyfalls in Naypyitaw, Kachin, Kayin and Mon States. STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (4 – 7) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
