1-12-2025: According to the observations at 15:30 hrs MST today, the Deep Depression over the Southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining Westcentral Bay of Bengal, North Tamil Nadu- Puducherry coasts and South Andhra Pradesh coasts almost stationary and it is centered at about 750 Nautical miles West-Southwest of Coco Island(Myanmar), 75 Nautical miles Northeast of Puducherry (India) and 20 Nautical miles Southeast of Chennai(India). It is likely to move nearly Northwards parallel to North Tamil Nadu- Puducherry coasts and South Andhra Pradesh coasts(India) and gradually weaken into a Depression during next 12 hrs. Weather is generally fair over the Andaman Sea, cloudy over the Northwest Bay and Westcentral Bay and a few cloud to partly cloudy elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24)hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Sagaing  Region, rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Mandalay and Magway Regions and Eastern Shan and Kayah States, scattered in Naypyitaw, (Northern and Southern) Shan and Chin States, fairly widespread in Rakhine State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavyfall in Rakhine State. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were Sittwe (3.86)inches, Kyeikkhame (2.60)inches, Hpa-an and Mudon (2.40)inches each, Mogaung  (2.36)inches, Hmawbi(Agro-Met) (2.05)inches,  Putao (1.93)inches, Thandwe and Bago (1.85)inches each, Kya – In- Seikkyi (1.78)inches and Khayan (1.67)inches.

 BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is weak to moderate over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

 FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 21st August, 2019: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay and Magway Regions, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Shan and Kayah States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavyfalls in Kayin and Mon States.  STATE OF THE SEA:  Sea will be moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (4 – 7)feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
