BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is vigorous over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and moderate to strong elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL NOON OF THE 25th August, 2019: Rain or thundershowers will be fairly widespread in Kachin and Northern Shan States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavyfalls in Lower Sagaing and Magway Regions, Rakhine, Kayin and Mon States and isolated heavyfalls in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions and Chin State. Degree of certainty is (100%).
STATE OF THE SEA: Occasional squalls with rough seas will be experienced Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (40)m.p.h. Sea will be moderate to rough elsewhere in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (9 –12) feet in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts and about (6 – 9) feet off and along Rakhine Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Increase of rain in Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, Kayin and Mon States.
