BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is vigorous over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and moderate elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL AFTERNOON OF THE 27th August, 2019: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Sagaing, Mandalay and Magway Regions, Kachin and (Northern and Eastern) Shan States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavyfalls in Kayin and Mon States and isolated heavyfalls in Bago, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, Rakhine State. Degree of certainty is (100%).
STATE OF THE SEA: Occasional squalls with rough seas will be experienced Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (40)m.p.h. Sea will be moderate to rough elsewhere in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (9 –12) feet in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts and about (6 – 9) feet off and along Rakhine Coast.
