1-12-2025: According to the observations at 15:30 hrs MST today, the Deep Depression over the Southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining Westcentral Bay of Bengal, North Tamil Nadu- Puducherry coasts and South Andhra Pradesh coasts almost stationary and it is centered at about 750 Nautical miles West-Southwest of Coco Island(Myanmar), 75 Nautical miles Northeast of Puducherry (India) and 20 Nautical miles Southeast of Chennai(India). It is likely to move nearly Northwards parallel to North Tamil Nadu- Puducherry coasts and South Andhra Pradesh coasts(India) and gradually weaken into a Depression during next 12 hrs. Weather is generally fair over the Andaman Sea, cloudy over the Northwest Bay and Westcentral Bay and a few cloud to partly cloudy elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24)hours, rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Bago Region, scattered in Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions, Kachin, Northern Shan and Rakhine States, fairly widespread in Magway Region, Eastern Shan, Chin and Kayin States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavyfall in Naypyitaw. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were Naypyitaw(Zayarthiri) (3.23)inches, Myeik (2.44)inches, Pinlaebu (1.85)inches, Paung (1.69)inches, Kyemone (1.46)inches, Coco Island (1.42)inches, Pinglaung (1.38) inches, Launglon (1.34)inches, Amarapura (1.32)inches, Khayan (1.30)inches, Mandalay and Paung Byin (1.18)inches each.

BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (13:30)hrs M.S.T today, a low pressure area has formed over the Northwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining coastal area of West Bengal. Monsoon is strong over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and weak elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 30th August, 2019: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Upper Sagaing Region, Kachin, Northern Shan and Rakhine States, fairly widespread in Lower Sagaing and Magway Regions, Chin State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavyfalls in Taninthayi Region, Kayin and Mon States and isolated heavyfalls in Bago and Yangon Regions. Degree of certainty is (100%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with rough seas are likely at times Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (35-40)m.p.h. Sea will be moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (8 –10) feet in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts and about (5 – 8) feet off and along Rakhine Coast.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Increase of rain in Bago, Yangon and Taninthayi Regions and Shan, Kayah, Kayin and Mon States.
