2-12-2025: According to the observations at 05:30 hrs MST today, the Deep Depression over the Westcentral Bay and adjoining Southwest Bay of Bengal, North Tamil Nadu- Puducherry coasts and South Andhra Pradesh coasts is centered at about 750 Nautical miles West-Southwest of Coco Island(Myanmar), 80 Nautical miles Northeast of Puducherry (India) and 20 Nautical miles East-Southeast of Chennai(India). It is likely to recurve slowly Southwestwards and weaken gradually into a Depression during next 12 hrs.Weather is generally fair over the Andaman Sea, cloudy over the Northwest Bay and Westcentral Bay and a few cloud to partly cloudy elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (06:30)hrs M.S.T today, the low pressure area over the Northwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining coastal area of West Bengal has crossed North Odhisa coast (India). Monsoon is strong over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and weak elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

SPECIAL FEATURE: According to the observations at (06:30) hrs MST today, yesterday 's the tropical storm "Podul" over the South China Sea has crossed Northern Vietnam Coast near Dong Hoi ,Vietnam. It is moving Westwards and  weaken gradually.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL  EVENING OF THE 30th August, 2019: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Upper Sagaing Region, Kachin, Northern Shan and Rakhine States, fairly widespread in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay and Magway Regions, Chin State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavyfalls in Magway,Taninthayi Regions,, Kayin and Mon States and isolated heavyfalls in Mandalay, Bago and Yangon Regions. Degree of certainty is (100%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with rough seas are likely at times Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (35-40)m.p.h. Sea will be moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (8 –10) feet in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts and about (5 – 8) feet off and along Rakhine Coast.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Increase of rain in Bago, Yangon and Taninthayi Regions and Shan, Kayah, Kayin and Mon States.
