BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is strong over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and weak elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL AFTERNOON OF THE 17th September, 2019: Rain or thundershowers will be widespread in Taninthayi Region, fairly widespread in Kachin, Chin, Kayin and Mon States, scattered in Naypyitaw, Upper Sagaing, Mandalay, Bago, Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions, Rakhine State and isolated in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavyfall in Taninthayi Region. Degree of certainty is (100%).
STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with rough seas are likely at times off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (35-40)m.p.h. Sea will be moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (8–10) feet off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts and about (4–6) feet in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Rakhine Coast.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of withdrawal of Southwest monsoon from Northern Myanmar areas.
