SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24)hours, Southwest monsoon has been withdrawn from the East Central Bay of Bengal and Deltaic Myanmar areas. Weather has been partly cloudy in Eastern Shan, Kayin and Mon States, rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Nyapyitaw, Yangon and Taninthayi Regions and Rakhine State, scattered in Mandalay, Magway, Bago and Ayeyarwady Regions and Kachin State, fairly widespread in Lower Sagaing Region and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavyfall in Mandalay Region. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were Nyaung Oo (1.85)inches, Htilin (1.22)inches, Ramthlo (0.98)inch, Saw (0.90)inch, Taunggyi and Pathein (0.87)inch each, Nyaung Shwe (0.83)inch, Naypyitaw(Zayarthiri) (0.79) inch and Mogaung and Tharrawady (0.71)inch each.
BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is weak over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and weather is partly cloudy to cloudy elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 27th September, 2019: Rain or thundershowers will be fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing Region and (Northern and Southern)Shan, Chin and Kayah States, scattered in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway, Bago, Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions, Kachin and Rakhine States and isolated in the remaining Regions and States. Degree of certainty is (80%).
STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (3–6) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of withdrawal of Southwest monsoon from Southern Myanmar areas.
