SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, light rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Mon State. Weather has been partly cloudy in Upper Sagaing, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Eastern Shan, Kayin States and generally fair in the remaining Regions and States. Night temperatures were (3°C) below February average temperature in Chin State, (2°C) below February average temperatures in Upper Sagaing, Yangon Regions and Kachin State and (2°C) above February average temperatures in Eastern Shan, Kayin, Mon States and about February average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant night temperatures were (0°C) in Hakha, (4°C) in Heho, (5°C) each in Kyaukmae, Namsam(Southern Shan), Loilin, Mongyang and Pyinoolwin and (6°C) each in Putao, Pinlaung, Tiddim and Mogoke.
BAY INFERENCE: Weather is partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and South Bay of Bengal and a few cloud elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 12th February 2024: Light rain or thundershowers are likely to be isolated in Taninthayi Region and Mon State. Degree of certainty is (60%). Weather will be partly cloudy in Upper Sagaing, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kachin, Eastern Shan, Chin, Kayin States and generally fair in the remaining Regions and States.
STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (4-7) feet in off and along Myanmar Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of slight decrease of night temperatures in Upper Sagaing, Mandalay Regions and Kachin, Shan States.
