SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, light rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Kachin State. Weather has been generally fair in Naypyitaw, Bago Region and Northern Shan, Rakhine States and partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Day temperatures were (2°C) above March average temperatures in Upper Sagaing, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin State and about March average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant day temperatures were (41°C) each in Chauk, Aunglan and Pyay and (40°C) each in Magway, Taungdwingyi and Laydatpyin.

BAY INFERENCE: Weather is a few cloud to partly cloudy over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 17th March 2024: Light rain or thundershowers are likely to be isolated in Taninthayi Region and Kachin State. Degree of certainty is (60%). Weather will be generally fair in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing and Magway Regions and partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States.

STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (3-6) feet in off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of slight increase of day temperatures in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay and Magway Regions.
