SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, light rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Eastern Shan State. Weather has been generally fair in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway, Ayeyarwady Regions and Northern Shan State and partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Day temperatures were 5°C above April average temperatures in Kachin, (Northern and Eastern)Shan States, 3°C to 4°C above April average temperatures in Naypyitaw, Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway, Taninthayi Regions and Southern Shan, Chin, Rakhine States and 2°C above April average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant day temperatures were 46°C in Chauk, 44°C each in Minbu, Magway, Aunglan, Taungdwingyi and Sinbyugyun and 43°C each in Myinmu, Meiktila, Myingyan, Nyaung Oo, Thazi(Hlaingtat), Kyaukse(Lunkyaw), Tada U(Aviation-Met), Pakokku and Pyay.
BAY INFERENCE: Weather is partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 11th APRIL 2024: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Southern Shan State, isolated in Naypyitaw, Upper Sagaing, Bago, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Eastern Shan, Chin, Kayah, Kayin, Mon States. Degree of certainty is 80%. Weather will be partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States.
STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about 4-7 feet in off and along Myanmar Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of isolated to scattered rain or thundershowers in Taninthayi Region and Kayah, Kayin, Mon States.
