SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been fairly widespread in Eastern Shan State and isolated in Taninthayi Region and Kachin State. Weather has been partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Day temperatures were 3°C to 4°C above April average temperatures in Taninthayi Region and (Southern and Easten) Shan, Mon States and 2°C above April average temperatures in Mandalay, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kachin, Northern Shan, Rakhine, Kayah, Kayin States and about April average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant day temperatures were 44°C in Chauk, 43°C in Myawaddy and 42°C each in Meiktila, Myingyan, Naung Oo, Yamethin, Kyaukse (Lunkyaw), Aunglan, Pakokku, Sinbyugyun, Ann and Hpa-an(Agro-Met). The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were 0.16 inch in Minseat and 0.08 inch each in Kengtung and Myeik.
BAY INFERENCE: Weather is a few cloud over the Andaman Sea and Eastcentral Bay of Bengal and partly cloudy to cloudy elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 13th APRIL 2024: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Naypyitaw, Sagaing, Mandalay, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Shan, Chin, Kayah, Kayin, Mon States. Degree of certainty is 80%. Weather will be partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States.
STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about 4-7 feet in off and along Myanmar Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of slight increase of day temperatures in Naypyitaw, Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kachin State.
