30-11-2025:According to the observations at 10:30 hrs MST today, the Cyclonic Storm “DITWAH” over the Southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining Tamil Nadu- Puducherry coasts has moved Northwards and it is centered at about 770 Nautical miles West-Southwest of Coco Island(Myanmar), 60 Nautical miles Southeast of Puducherry (India) and 170 Nautical miles North of Trincomalee(Srilanka). It is likely to move nearly Northwards parallel to North Tamil Nadu- Puducherry coasts(India) during next 24 hrs. Weather is partly cloudy to cloudy over the Southwest Bay and Westcentral Bay of Bengal and a few cloud over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

BAY INFERENCE:  Monsoon is strong over the Andaman Sea and strong to vigorous over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL NOON OF THE 21st July 2024: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Lower Sagaing Region and Kayah State,  scattered in Mandalay,  Region, fairly widespread in  Magway and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of regionally heavyfalls in Yangon,  Ayeyarwady Regions and Rakhine State and isolated heavyfalls in Mandalay, Bago, , Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Kayin, Mon States. THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Magway, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Eastren Shan, Kayah, Kayin, Mon States.

STATE OF THE SEA: Occasional squalls with rough seas will be experienced in Deltaic, off and along Rakhine Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach 40-45 mph. Wave height will be about 9-14 feet in Deltaic, off and along Rakhine Coasts. Squalls with rough seas are likely at times in Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach 35-40 mph.  Wave height will be about 8-12 feet in Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts.
