26-11-2025:According to the observations at 15:30 hrs MST today, the Cyclonic Storm “SENYAR” over the Strait of Malacca and adjoining Northeast Indonesia has moved West-Southwestwards and start to cross coastal areas of Indonesia. It is centered at about 305Nautical miles South of Kawthaung (Myanmar), 155 Nautical miles West-Southwest of Penang(Malaysia), 45 Nautical miles East of Kuta Makmur(Indonesia) and  395 Nautical miles Southeast of Car Nicobar (India). According to the observations at 15:30 hrs MST today, the Well Marked Low pressure Area over the Southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining areas of Southeast Sri Lanka still persists. It is likely to move North-Northwestwards and further intensify into a depression during next 24 hours. Weather is a few cloud over the North Bay, partly cloudy over the Central Bay and cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is strong to vigorous over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and moderate elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 19th September 2024: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin, Northern Shan States, scattered in Lower Sagaing Region and Kayah State, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Mandalay Region and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of regionally heavyfalls in Magway Regio and likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Yangon, Ayeyarwady,Taninthayi Region and Kayin, Mon States. Degree of certainty is 100%.

THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in  Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Chin, Rakhie, Kayin, Mon States.

STATE OF THE SEA: STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with rough seas are likely at times in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach 35-40 mph. Wave height will be about 8-10 feet in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Sea will be moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about 5-7 feet in off and along Rakhine Coast.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of withdrawal of Southwest monsoon from Northern Myanmar areas.
