26-11-2025:According to the observations at 15:30 hrs MST today, the Cyclonic Storm “SENYAR” over the Strait of Malacca and adjoining Northeast Indonesia has moved West-Southwestwards and start to cross coastal areas of Indonesia. It is centered at about 305Nautical miles South of Kawthaung (Myanmar), 155 Nautical miles West-Southwest of Penang(Malaysia), 45 Nautical miles East of Kuta Makmur(Indonesia) and  395 Nautical miles Southeast of Car Nicobar (India). According to the observations at 15:30 hrs MST today, the Well Marked Low pressure Area over the Southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining areas of Southeast Sri Lanka still persists. It is likely to move North-Northwestwards and further intensify into a depression during next 24 hours. Weather is a few cloud over the North Bay, partly cloudy over the Central Bay and cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is strong over the Andaman Sea and South Bay of Bengal and weak to moderate elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

SPECIAL FEATURES: According to the observations at (05:30)hrs MST today, the Low Pressure Cell crossed over the North Andaman Sea and adjoining Mon State, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions (Myanmar) reached over Eastcentral Bay of Bengal and adjoining North Andaman Sea. After that, it is likely to move Westwards and may intensify into a Low Pressure Area over the Central Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 22nd September 2024: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Upperr Sagaing Region and Kachin, Northern Shan States,scattered in Lower Sagaing Region and Eastern Shan, Kayah State, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Magway Regions and Kachin, Southern Shan State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of regionally heavyfalls in Taninthayi Region and Kayin, Mon States and isolated heavyfalls in  Magway,Tanithari Regions and Rakhine, Kayin, Mon States. Degree of certainty is 100%.

THE CONDITION OFCUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Naypyitaw, Magway, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Chin, Rakhine,  Kayin, Mon States. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena.

STATE OF THE SEA: STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with rough seas are likely at times in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach 35 mph. Wave height will be about 8-10 feet in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Sea will be moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about 5-7 feet off and along Rakhine Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Increase of rain in Naypyitaw, Magway, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Chin, Rakhine, Kayah, Kayin, Mon States.
