26-11-2025:According to the observations at 15:30 hrs MST today, the Cyclonic Storm “SENYAR” over the Strait of Malacca and adjoining Northeast Indonesia has moved West-Southwestwards and start to cross coastal areas of Indonesia. It is centered at about 305Nautical miles South of Kawthaung (Myanmar), 155 Nautical miles West-Southwest of Penang(Malaysia), 45 Nautical miles East of Kuta Makmur(Indonesia) and  395 Nautical miles Southeast of Car Nicobar (India). According to the observations at 15:30 hrs MST today, the Well Marked Low pressure Area over the Southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining areas of Southeast Sri Lanka still persists. It is likely to move North-Northwestwards and further intensify into a depression during next 24 hours. Weather is a few cloud over the North Bay, partly cloudy over the Central Bay and cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED FROM YESTERDAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T TO TODAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Northern Shan, Kayah States, scattered in Lower Sagaing Region, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavyfalls in Magway, Ayeyarwady Regions. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were 3.22 inches in Phyarpon, 3.20 inches in Kyaiklat, 2.95 inches in Nattalin, 2.85 inches in Bogale, 2.48 inches each in Yangon(Mayangon) and Maubin, 2.44 inches in Wakema, 2.38 inches in Zigon, 2.20 inches in Yangon(Mingaladon), 2.16 inches each in Myaungmya and Hpa–an, 2.10 inches in Paungde and 2.09 inches each in Machanbaw and Danubyu.

BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (12:30)hrs MST today, the Low Pressure Cell over Central Bay of Bengal has further intensified into a Low Pressure Area over Westcentral Bay of Bengal and adjoining Northwest Bay of Bengal (off north Andhra Pradesh- south Odisha coast, India).Monsoon is strong over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 25th September 2024: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Kayah State, scattered in Northern Shan State, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway Regions and Kachin State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin, Chin, Rakhine States. Degree of certainty is 100%.

THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Upper Sagaing, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kachin, Chin, Rakhine States. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena.

STATE OF THE SEA: STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with rough seas are likely at times off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach 35 m.p.h. Wave height will be about 9-12 feet in off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Fairly widespread to widespread rain or thundershowers in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin, Shan, Chin States.
