28-11-2025:According to the observations at 05:30 hrs MST today, the Depression over the Strait of Malacca has moved Eastwards and downgraded into Well Marked Low Pressure Area over Malaysia. It is likely continue to move Eastwards and gradually weaken during next 12 hours. According to the observations at 05:30 hrs MST today, the Cyclonic Storm “DATWAH” over the Southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining Sri Lanka Coast has moved Northwestwards and is crossing near Tricomalee(Srilanka). It is centered at about 805 Nautical miles Southwest of Coco Island (Myanmar), 240 Nautical miles Southeast of Puducherry (India). It is likely to move North-Northwestwards and continue to cross eastern part of Sri Lanka Coast and adjoining Southwest Bay of Bengal and reached over the North Tamil Nadu and adjoining South Andhra Pradesh coasts, India.Weather is a few cloud over the North Bay and Central Bay and partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is weak to moderate over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 28th September 2024: Rain or thundershowers will be fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing, Taninthari Regions and Kachin, Chin States, scattered in Southern Shan, Rakhine, Mon and widespread in the remaining Regions and States. Degree of certainty is 100%.

THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Mandalay,   Taninthayi Regions and  Southern Shan, Mon States. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena.
