27-11-2025:According to the observations at 05:30 hrs MST today, the Cyclonic Storm “SENYAR” crossed in the interior of Indonesia has recurved and moved South-Southeast and now lies again over Northeast of Indonesia and adjoining the Strait of Malacca. It is centered at about 360 Nautical miles South of Kawthaung (Myanmar), 140 Nautical miles Southwest of Penang(Malaysia), 50 Nautical miles Southeast of Kuta Makmur(Indonesia) and  460 Nautical miles Southeast of Car Nicobar (India). According to the observations at 05:30 hrs MST today, the Well Marked Low Pressure Area over the Southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining areas of Southeast Sri Lanka has further intensified into a Depression over the Southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining areas of Sri Lanka coast.  It is centered at about 800 Nautical miles South-Southwest of Coco Island (Myanmar), 180 Nautical miles South-Southeast of Tricomalee(Srilanka), 395 Nautical miles South-Southeast of Puducherry(India). Weather is partly cloudy to cloudy and over the over the Andaman Sea and a few cloud elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED FROM YESTERDAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T TO TODAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, weather has been generally fair in Mon, Rakhine States and partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Night temperatures were 3°C below December average temperature in Kachin State and 2°C above December average temperatures in Yangon, Mandalay, Bago, Lower Sagaing Regions and Mon, Rakhine States, 3°C to 4°C above December average temperatures in Naypyitaw, Magway, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kayah, Kayin, Shan States and about December average in the remaining Regions and States. The significant night temperatures were 3.4°C in Hakha, 4.5°C in Putao, 5.6°C in Tiddim, 5.9°C in Myitkyina, 7.3°C in Namsan(Southern Shan), 8.2°C in Pyinoolwin, 9.0°C in Machanbaw, 10.6°C in Pinlaung,  10.9°C in Hkamti and 11.0°C each in Heho, Loilin and Mongyang.

BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (12:30) hrs M.S.T today, the Well Marked Low Pressure Area over Southwest Bay of Bengal now lies over Southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining Westcentral Bay of Bengal still persists. It is likely to move Northwestwards and reach to North Tamil Nadu and South Andhra Pradesh Coasts, India during next 12 hours. Thereafter, it is likely to move nearly Northwards and move along Andhra Pradesh Coast during 36 hours. Weather is a few cloud over the North Andaman Sea and partly cloudy to cloudy over the South Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.  

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 20th December 2024: Light rain are likely to be isolated in Mandalay, Sagaing, Ayeyarwady Regions and Chin, Rakhine, (Northern and Eastern) Shan States. Degree of certainty is 60%. Weather will be partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States.

STATE OF THE SEA: STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about 4-7 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of fairly widespread to widespread rain in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Magway, Sagaing Regions and Kachin, Chin, Rakhine, Shan States.
