25-11-2025:According to the observations at 17:30 hrs MST today, the Depression over the South Andaman Sea and adjoining Strait of Malacca almost stationary still persists. It is centered at about 285 Nautical miles South-Southeast of Kawthaung (Myanmar), 55 Nautical miles West-Northwest of Penang(Malaysia), 250 Nautical miles East of Banda Aceh (Indonesia) and  465 Nautical miles Southeast of Car Nicobar(India).According to the observations at 17:30 hrs MST today, the low pressure area over Southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining areas of South Sri Lanka still persists. It is likely to move North-Northwestwards and become Well Marked Lowe  pressure Area during next 24 hours and further intensify into a depression during next 48 hours. Weather is a few cloud over the North Bay and Central Bay and partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Lower Sagaing Region and Chin State. Rain or thundershowers have been widespread in Bago, Yangon and Taninthayi Regions, Kayin and Mon States, fairly widespread in Southern Shan State, scattered in Naypyitaw, Mandalay and Ayeyarwady Regions, Eastern Shan, Rakhine and Kayah States, isolated in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavy falls in Mon State and isolated heavy falls in Rakhine and Kayin States. Day temperatures were (7°C) above May normal temperature in Upper Sagaing Region, (5°C) to (6°C) above May normal temperatures in Lower Sagaing and Magway Regions, Kachin, Northern Shan and Kayah States, (3°C) to (4°C) above May normal temperatures in Mandalay Region, Eastern Shan, Chin and Rakhine States and (2°C) above May normal temperatures in Bago Region and Southern Shan State and about May normal temperature in the remaining Regions and States. The significant day temperatures were (44°C) in Chauk, (43°C) each in Kalewa, Myinmu and Gangaw. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were Mawlamyine (4.76)inches, Ann (4.01)inches, Kataingti (3.62)inches, Kyeikkhame (3.15)inches, Paung (3.07)inches, Chaungsone (2.99)inches, Gwa (2.68)inches,  Madauk (2.44)inches, Mudon (2.36) inches, Shwekyin  (2.17)inches, Bawlakhae and Thaton (2.01)inches each, Shwegwin and Shan-Ywar-Thit (1.80)inches each.

BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is moderate over the Andaman Sea and Southeast Bay and weather is partly cloudy to cloudy elsewhere in the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 31st May, 2019:  Rain or thundershowers will be widespread in Bago, Yangon and Taninthayi Regions, Southern Shan, Kayah, Kayin and Mon States, fairly widespread in Ayeyarwady Region and Eastern Shan State, scattered in Naypyitaw, Upper Sagaing, Mandalay and Magway Regions, Rakhine State and isolated in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavy falls in Bago Region, Kayin and Mon States. STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (4 - 6) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
